I am an artist with an academic background in anthropology. My work often utilizes formal themes of process and materiality to investigate cultural experiences, and I rely on a wide variety of media, including wood, metal, chalk, charcoal, language, and video to implement my ideas. My work draws on the Post-Minimalist and Conceptual Art traditions, but I also seek to invest abstract forms with human social and philosophical references.
